Background:

Betty-Ann Bryce is a Jamaican, raised in Brooklyn, New York who currently resides in Paris, France. Her creative endeavors took a backseat to a BA in Political Science, Law Degree, and graduate work. In addition to the United States, Jamaica, and France, she has lived in the United Kingdom (London) and Botswana (Gaborone).

Focus
Her work explores exaggerated forms of beauty, texture and fashion.  While she is not a portrait artist, the face plays a prominent role. She hopes the viewer finds a connection that evokes a feeling or thought and spurs the imagination..

Materials
She uses digital (e.g., photoshop, procreate, corel painter) and traditional materials (e.g., watercolor, acrylics, acrylic gouache, and ink) to create.

She is influenced by a mix of artists: Caravaggio, David Hockney, Picasso (Blue Period), Egon Schiele, David Downton (Fashion Illustrator), plus comic book artists: Jim Lee, David Finch, Joelle Jones, Phil Noto, Kenneth Rocafort, Frank Cho, and Boichi (Sun Ken Rock).
